Constructing Social is a blog and resources site by Colin Browning built for those that are constructing and architecting social media sites.

Since January of 2009, Colin has been working as the VP of Client Strategy at New Marketing Labs, working directly with clients to achieve their goals through creative and measurable social media programs.

Previously, Colin was the Director of Business Development at Mzinga where for over 3 years he worked with a wide variety of organizations, from start-ups to Fortune 500, and helped them to architect and build successful social media programs.  He was part of the exceptional team that grew the organization (originally Prospero Technologies) from 13 people to the industry leadership position it enjoys today.

Colin has over 15 years of experience in developing successful online marketing strategies for organizations.  Prior to Mzinga/Prospero, Colin led the online marketing of a wide range of high technology organizations from OneSource (an InfoUSA company), to GE’s Electric Insurance where he re-designed their online quote system which then won the RIT Quality Cup.

Colin has a proven history of pushing marketing boundaries from the more recent building of the first Documentary 2.0 project, the Innovators’ Road Trip, to launching of State Street Bank’s first online marketing campaigns in the mid- 1990s.

Colin is trained in GE’s Six Sigma Green Belt program management and graduated Cum Laude from Babson’s F. W. Olin Graduate School of Business and Bates College.
